You guys will never believe this one!
My AV burst into flames today while I was at work!
Something in the fuse box shorted or something and the truck burst into flames hot enough to melt the windshield.
I'll post photo's after work tommorow but I guess I won't be attending any GTG's untill I get a new AV as the shop already totalled it and the insurance company is, most likely, going to follow suit.

Oh man! I'm sorry to hear that JR! That totally sucks! 
It's definitely electrical? I know some guy was picked up for setting SUV's on fire in the North Cherry Creek area.

Oh man, that so sucks, Im sorry to hear what happened. Please when they find out why, share so we dont do the same thing if it was a mod. I also hope your insurance company steps up and in the end you do alright. Im really happy no one was hurt, Ive heard of car fires in which people dont get out in time and end up getting badly burned. Again, real sorry

Not to take adavantage of a bad day, but Im in bad need of a rear window, are you parting it out or trying to fix it... There are probably several parts a few wouldnt mind paying you for if it helps at all, not sure, let us know.

Well, today we will find out if it's a total by the insurance company. I'm really torn. I love my AV but am concerned about whether it will ever be the same with the potential for wiring trouble in the future after something like this. Everyone I know wants it to total but i just can't give up on it that easily....it has a little too much sentimental value to me. 
I've worked my tail off to have this truck and it was my dad's before it was mine and.............I'm just kind of hung up on it.

Found an '04 WBH last night that got me good. Probably going to get it.
I'm still not sold on the interior of the new one and I don't want to do the flex fuel thing untill it's been around a while longer. ------------- Just Drive Man!!! |

The lifted truck is a three quater ton with the 8.1 and you know what that means, so I think it's going to be the WBH. I put a hold on it today and am just waiting for the insurance company to settle!

I drove three '07's and didn't like the interior or the engine management system that shuts down cylinders. It seemed sluggish. ------------- Just Drive Man!!! |
