Chuck,
I wanna go this year. How did they do it last year, all meet up and head that way, is the event there in Pigeon Forge from 11th to the 26th? My wifes family is in Wythville VA. So if I can do both then I getta have some fun and then we can go and see the folks. About when does everyone start heading out from here? Is there alot of stops along the way? I was just trying to figure with traveling to there, staying there a few days and then family visit and then ride back, how long I should plan for. I know its early but If I dont plan early...its never happens.

Oh, and if we go, we will probably be taking the camper because of the hotel prices for anything that 1-would fit two adults and two kids, and 2- we have a couple of dogs that we are wondering what we will do with them, most hotels dont want them unless they are small. ------------- Yea, My modifications on my truck are worth more than my truck. |

If you click the picture in the first post Chad that should take you to the 2008 Nationals board on CAFCNA. I know there are folks with a camping thread so that'd be the place to look on where folks are figuring what campgrounds offer what amenities.
Right now we're planning to take two days to go out. I only know of one Av driving from AZ all the way out there right now. Last year we met up with folks driving out from CA to go to Rapid City. Well, I put our names in on the list. Everyone seems to be excited about it over on the other club site. It looks like there will be over 100 Avs and its really early. I will have to see if I can get my lift and my ram air hood on and painted by then. Procomp 5" it will let me get 33's on and any higher and cv joints are in greater strain, I drive to much to add more strain to those. ------------- Yea, My modifications on my truck are worth more than my truck. |

Chuck, I saw your calculations for gas money, I think we are going to feel this one. Ouch, especially if I take the trailer. So as far as right now Im still on, there was a couple of slow months that it was looking unlikely. I have reservations at the twin mountain campsite down there, I haven't registered yet, dont wanna send money till we are absolutly sure its happening. Are you still going? Just shy of the last minute....Im going. It will be a dart trip, driving straight through to VA, dropping off the wife and kids at her parents and then heading down to TN for a few days. Chuck....I know your already registered, still thinking your not going? I dont have the funds but Im out of work and credit cards are for things like this right....

Cool Chad! I think you'll like it. I think the wife and kids would have liked it too btw. They had lots of family activities last year. So are you taking the trailer still?
