I'm only 5'6" so I saw a wireless back up cam at Target for about $94 and picked it up. Easy install, and no more backing into everything since I can only see the tops of my bed covers out of the back of my truck. ------------- Just Drive Man!!! |

Mine is hooked to the reverse light leads but if you went the fuse box I suppose you could have it full time. ------------- Just Drive Man!!! |

you should also be able to wire a bypass switch. Where did you put the monitor? I'd like to see it. I have the Cubby Cam!

Nice. I just velcroed mine to the dash under my onstar buttons above the ashtray and put the camera under the tailgate. I'm fixing to do the stereo so I didn't want it permanent yet untill i get that stuff done. ------------- Just Drive Man!!! |

Rocky,
how well can you see a hitch where you mounted your camera head? I hook trailers up alot and am concerned about where to put it so I can see it the best. I know where they suggest to put it, in the empty space just above the reciever part, however when I put on my stabalizer hitch, I think it will block my view of the ball. ------------- Yea, My modifications on my truck are worth more than my truck. |

You know I mounted mine under the tailgate cladding and have a direct view of my hitch ball but if you were running a line of fire it wouldn't work there.
Mine's kind of generic compared to Loyd's but it works great unless I am on my cell phone. For some reason it meeses up the wireless signal. ------------- Just Drive Man!!! |

I cannot see my hitch. It it's the ground about 18 inches out from the hitch. That is one of the propblems with the Bezel camera. My other problem is the camera stoped working about 1 week over my year warranty. Guess I need to look for another camera. ------------- 2003 "LIFTED" LPM WBH Z71 |

I got both a 2.5 monitor and a wide angle camera for about $75 ea. They are much cheaper now. But it does take a while for them to come from Hong Kong.

Chuck, do you know if the camera's are still for sale? The one I got for my Cubby Cam has completely stopped working. And since I'm a month over the warranty... So I am looking for just a camera.

Yes they're still available. You may have to wade through a lot of different ebay sales to find what you're looking for.
I'd measure up your broken camera if you can and then click on the link I have above and see if you can find one that is about the same size. Be sure and use millimeters since that appears to be what they list. ------------- 2003 Light Pewter Metallic Z71 WBH |
